INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION FOR THE CAMP RENAISSANCE SUMMER WRITING CLUB

We are very pleased to inform you of the 4th Annual Camp Renaissance /K-O Skills Summer Writing Club.. We decided to administer this program to provide our wonderful campers with an opportunity to write over the summer under the guidance of a strong group of writing teachers. The program will afford participants the chance to be part of five great sessions, as well as a celebratory reading of works at the end of the program - with a very special guest!

Dates:Thursday June 24, Tuesday, June 29, Tuesday, July 6, Thursday, July 8 and Tuesday, July 13.
Final Celebratory Session: Date to be announced. The special guest at this celebratory session will be famed author Mary-Ann Tirone Smith. A Hartford native, Mary-Ann’s acclaimed books include “Girls of a Tender Age: A Memoir” which was awarded NPR’s National Book of the Year and a recent release - and acclaimed novel - “Dirty Water: A Red Sox Mystery.”
Time:7:00-8:15 p.m.
Venue:The Library at Kingswood-Oxford School.
Cost:There is no additional cost.
Eligibility:All 2010 Camp Renaissance and K-O Skills participants.
Expectations:Participants who sign up are expected to attend at least three of the five sessions.
Registration:Simply fill out the attached registration form and return to us by no later than June 18.
Program:

The program will involve our staff overseeing a series of age-based writing exercises and other age-based writing activities.  At the conclusion of the program, participants and family members will be welcome to be part of the special celebratory reading program of works, featuring special guest Mary-Ann Tirone Smith.(Reading by student participants at the celebratory program is not mandatory).

Key Objective:

A key objective of our staff is to administer a series of stimulating workshops in a manner that will afford participants of all age levels with the opportunity to be part of a great writing experience. Feedback from last year’s program was terrific!
