A Special Leadership Certificate Program for All Campers

Over the last four years, Dan Doyle has conducted a pre-camp Saturday morning session on leadership. We have received wonderful feedback on the session. As many of you know, Dan lectures at colleges and universities throughout the United States on leadership. The Saturday morning programs have taken some of the concepts of Dan's lectures and refined them to fit the age group at the sessions.

Our New Leadership Certificate Program

Because of the success of these sessions, we will be offering a more formal leadership program this year in the following manner:

• On May 14 and 21, we will administer a leadership program, with the end result being all recipients who successfully complete the program receiving a Camp Renaissance/KO Skills leadership certificate.

A key objective of the leadership program will be to help our wonderful campers better understand the concepts of leadership and how to develop their own leadership abilities in a thoughtful and coherent way. Parents will be welcome to attend! Indeed, the feedback we have gotten over the last four years is that parents who have attended with their children have often been able to employ and reinforce some of the concepts at home.

The program will run each evening from 7-8:15pm, and there is no extra cost. The program, which is open to camp participants only, will include leadership exercises led by Dan, and small group discussions led by distinguished leaders from our community.

We intend to make this a very special experience for our campers and parents. Our main goal for parents is to help their children develop a coherent philosophy of leadership, one that will be helpful as the campers proceed through school and into life.

Registration for the Leadership Certificate Program will take place between April 1 and May 1. All campers will receive a special leadership email on April 1 with full registration details.
